who dare deny the sweet sweet call of a pub with the name of an instrument but without music inside?But who would deny you still had to stole inside grab an ale from some of the finest young bar persons in londinium and sip away the glorious days and nights as they all become one. The bell truely is a great place. It's layout is confusing, it's customers are  coked to the ceiling and  the women are rife with plague, so why, why go here? The best thing i can say is that when all is said and done and the hour reach twelve the bar comes alive with the character of an ancient sonnett and trumpets into the night with a chorus of laughter and cheer that you can escape from both front door and back. Simply the best bar in New barnet (lowdown: very cheap, fast serving times, excellent range, v firenly, lots of seats and smelly bogs). Overall an 8/10

This pub is the worst pub in the world, i would prefer to shove broken glass up my arse, than spend any longer than half an hour in this pub!!!

I have no idea how it got an 8, just cos its cheap, doesnt make it a good pub.

Okay, so when I was a nipper, I more or less lived in the Bell - t'was a place where my mates and I would go all the time (for about half a year, we went most evenings).

Now Mr Greg and I infamously disagree about pubs all the time, but for this review, I felt I should make a post (rather than hunt him through the chav-littered streets of Barnet with a big knife, eh?)

The Bell is shite. Let me repeat that one. SHITE.

The problem is frankly the clientelle. Sitting in the dingy little 'side bit', drinking flat booze and watching a group of local peons chash a barman out of his own place (and half-way home, as it turned out) whilst some chavette holds the barmaid up against the optics by her throat (sho she can't 'phone the police) is just one of many examples of this shit-tip's 'colour'.

I used to really like this place, but these days, I'd rather tease my own lungs out of my anus then drink here. Go to the Lord Kitchener, or the Builder's around the corner - both are friendlier, cleaner, and have juke boxes.

Oh, and I got food poisoning a couple of christmases ago from this little armpit - ended up crapping my guts up and sobbing to myself for the whole of Christmas day (I actually mentioned this to the duty manager, friendly like. The little tinker must have been about 19. He warned me never to insult his pub 'alright son?' Pretentious as I know I sound, I was so reasonable. Fuck wit)

well i actuly like the bell... u all probably think im abit crazy, but hey im from barnet so aint i allowed to be!!??
i'm only 16 but if ever i need a good laugh with the older lot (or a good fight) the bell is the place to go.
as for the girls, well....... their easy when they know i'm 16 and even easier when i tell em i'm 18!
the barstaff are nice as well, when they wana be, other times they are complete cunts but there's fuck all we can do about that!
