Unlike most pubs in Barnet the Green man has live music, and proper live music. I have heard that most recently the Subways played there so its a Rock and Indie/Emo local band sort of live music. They have tried to pull that off with this pub for years and I think it works now. The drinks are reasonable at about £2 a pint and occasionally they do deals on spirits. The toilets and pretty minging and the seating is sparse on busy nights so this is a pub you want to visit in the week as opposed to at the weekend.

Overall the Green Man gets 7/10 for its improved live acts fixture which takes place at the top of the stairs as you go in.
