The Old Eagle (Kentish Town - London)

The Old Eagle

With large bay windows and off a quiet side road in Camden is a very comfortable friendly pub. It almost feels trendy inside with a medium sized venue of couches candlelit tables and and conservatory towards the back. There is no music strangely but the place feels very much like middle ground in Camden without any hint of rock music or more trendy hip hop or jazz, it seems to stand proud and alone where you can get in some good conversation. The high ceiling makes the place feel quite open and  there is a complete lack of intimidating atmosphere for strangers. The seats however are a bit rickety and the toilets are in a bit of a labyrinth location. Drinks are £2.50 for a double and it is good to get here early on.

Overall a 7/10. It is pretty unique for Camden and thats saying something, worlds away yet in the heart of the action. Well worth a visit for a quiet double and a conversation.
