The Atlas (Earl's Court - London)

The Atlas

The Atlas is a Big wooden pub just down the road from the Earls court 2 Exhibition centre. It is quite hard to see from the centre so you wouldnt actually think it was there unless you veered off of the usual paths. The pub is a flat red wooden front in full bloom throughout the summer months and consists of a fairly large pub with seating outside to the right and also seating at the back. There is a good variety of drinks at the bar and the staff are friendly and polite. The place a very old woody feel to it and its authenticity tis added to by the dark and musty yet bustly atmosphere. In fact the place is not even over crowded on event days . Red curtains cover the side entrances outside and tables are accompanied by outdoor heating

In all the estalishment is a good solid pub- wide enough to accommidate the heartiest drinker but perhaps could partake of a price drop or two.. 6/10.

The Prince of Wales (Earl's Court - London)

The Prince of Wales

The Prince of Wales pub although just over the road from West bromton tube station also sits next door to the Earl's Court 2 centre and attracts punters and business from events all day long and all year round. The pub is raise up from the pavement and after climbing a couple of stairs you end up on a small outdoor platform with a couple of outdoor tables with overhead shelter. Inside there is a seating section to the left with the bar to the right and other pit of seating to the left in the back corner. If one follows the bar round in the summer there is a deep garden outside which hugely increases the capacity of this average sized pub. The place is a friendly appeal but is pretty standard for a pub, friendly bar persons, fairly fast service and average priced drinks with a good selection on the bar. No complaints but little else which appeals to the drinkers sense of adventure.

Overall this is a convenient standard pub with a family eatery type feel and deserves a standard grading at 5/10

DLG VIP Cocktail Lounge (Earl's Court - London)

DLG VIP Cocktail Lounge

The Direct Marketing fair occurs once a year and I have been informed that this rather exclusive stand-come cocktail bar is an annual feature. The bar is run by two professional cocktail persons who stand shaking their mixers loudly to the soft tempos of music being streamed into the small gathering of glass tables and large white plastic chairs. Cocktails are fabulous and free and despite the fact that you are sat amidst a minefield of suited individuals flurrying about to make business and sales. Not the most relaxing environment but very respectable as a venue for a drink in what can only be described as one of the most important on-line marketing events in the London calender.

However in order to be lucky enough to partake of the fantastic cocktails you must have a VIP badge when entering the fair. This is obtainable by being a loyal customer to DLG so if you intend to get merry at this event you will certainly have to send DLG some business over the year. Overall a top notch establishment- perhaps it needs a Little more seating next year - 8/10
