The Ridgeway Tavern (Enfield - Hertfordshire)

The Ridgeway Tavern

A while back I ventured to this pub on the outskirts of Enfield with two crazy friends. (They would had to have been crazy at these prices). The trip was at no aim other than to drink our favoured cocktail a "double unhappy" which is of course two shots of vodka in a pint glass with a blue WKD on top with 9 bits of ice-stired with the top of a stolen cane. This particular pub served three of these drinks for a mere twenty pounds and suffering this we moved on to try which looked like sakey. It was in fact non-alcoholic rice wine and tasted horrible. The place was empty the whole evening and its a pain to get to unless you've just escaped from the hospital opposite.

Lots of our door tablres and seating witha car park but not one for your average bar crawl. Not impressed at only 4/10.

Bar @UGC/Cineworld Cinema(Enfield - Hertfordshire)

Bar @ UGC Cinema
Yes, who would have believed that there was a bar in this cinema? And a good thing it is too for theres nothing worse than having to wait in a cinema for the movie to begin snacking on your popcorn only to discover it gone even before the film has started. The bar itself is on the second floor of this complex and doesnt offer a wide range of seating, just a few odd tables. They do expensive bar food here as well to match the expensive drink. But there is music to accompany your drink although the seating has been vandalised and the bar closes early on a friday.

I would most certainly never go to this bar on a night out or a pub crawl but it is convieniant for the local alcoholic. Overall 3/10.

Eros (Enfield - Hertfordshire)

Eros (Enfield - Hertfordshire)

[UPDATE] :June 2006: Eros in Enfield has now closed permanently.

This classic venue is well known by all persons who live and work in North London as the centre for cheese and garage. The club can be free b4 1030 but have known for it to get to £10 afterwards. You would have to drive from most places because it is a bit out of the way but once you're inside it is a mass of ethnic minorities standing around drinking until they are drunk enough to brawl or dig into the meat market on show. Its dress up to have you're drink spiked and watch unknown MC's strut their stuff on stage.

The drinks are about 3 bottle for £10 so this ones in the toilet unless its a last resort. 4/10
