Hare and Tortoise

This pub is located in a quiet part on the outskirts of Rossington. It has a lovely beer garden and does good quality food, and I mean good, the perfect stop off if your travelling through the country and fancy a steak and a pint. I have only been during the winter months and so have not experienced the pub garden but can say that it has a lovely fireplace that is the focus of the interior. The staff is warm and welcoming and the chairs are relaxingly comfortable. This is one of those pubs that you seek out when the weather is horrible and you crave a warm haven.

The Evil Eye Lounge

A fantastic cocktail bar set on one of the cobbled high streets of York. between the spinning of bottles and screams of joy as they are caught the prices on my laminated menu look very good indeed. The place isn't overcrowded and theres short waiting times at the bar at the weekend. The layout is quite curious and will have tyou walking round in circles. Especially after a few very exotic pitchers of alcohol. A very fun place and hilarious to watch a slightly cocky barman lose a battle with a bottle of vodka to have it disintigrate upon the floor of the bar.

Not a bad word to say about it. The best little bar i came accross in York so far. Overall 9/10.

The Yorkshire Terrier (York)

The Yorkshire Terrier

The Terrier is a pretty scary Inn of a pub in a nice part of York. Should you venture here you can expect the company of old women talking about there late husbands in a very drunken manner. And who can blame them? With good cheap local ale on tap and such a friendly atmosphere who will you shock with light banter and conversation? The toilets are also satisfactory and the bar is very warm and welcoming serving the strangers above the locals in this, a welcome change of an establishment.

Overall, an undeniable 7/10
